Welcome to Aurora Beauty Bar!

My name is Katherine and I am a qualified Beauty and Dermal Therapist, Photographer, and Mumma of two beautiful girls (9 & 13).

Being in this industry for around 8 years now, I have developed a passion for the skin and what can be done to get the most out of what we put on and into our bodies, with the aim of returning the skin to being fully functional rather than using band-aid approaches.

I pride myself on quality of service, quality of products and my clients experience.

I completed my Diploma of Beauty Therapy in 2017, and have run my salon from my home in Blaxland East, NSW ever since. I have completed numerous extra courses in beauty and skin health including in Dermal Sciences. I specialise in problematic Skin conditions, cosmetic tattoo, eyebrow and eyelash treatments.

Alongside this, I have been a professional photographer for 10 years (Katherine Hovey Photography) which also gives me a great eye for detail.

My other qualifications include numerous photography certificates and a Certificate lV in Small Business Management.

MAKEUP

From light and natural to full and glamorous,  I cater to all clients needs. I used a wide range of professional products including MAC, Urban Decay, Benefit and Model Rock Lashes. I tailor a makeup plan specifically for each individual to ensure the colours and style will correspond with each persons differing features.

LASHES & BROWS

Using only the best in professional products, I offer every brow treatment from Cosmetic Tattoo to Lamination.  With a range of professional colour, I utilise either tint, hybrid dye or henna to ensure effective results for each client.

I also offer lash lifts and eyelash extensions, tailored to each individuals eye shape for best results. 

FACIAL + MEDI-SKIN SERVICES

I offer a range of facial and Medi-Skin services using active and results-driven and product range DERMAVIDUALS. From customised relaxation facials to medical micro-needling, I am able to concoct the perfect treatment plan for clients 

SPRAYTAN

All my products are of professional quality, using Black Magic Tanning Solutions. I am able to cater to all types of skin and differing skin undertones to produce a deep and rich or natural looking tan.
